Hi All,
I'm having a repeat problem with my CLS and was hoping someone may be able to offer me & my local dealer some guidance or further ideas into what the cause may be:
Symptoms:
Engine runs slightly 'lumpy'
Gear changes 1/2/3 are harsh (not as smooth)
Engine appears to be running hotter than normal, with cooling fans operating
Oil (or Diesel) Smell from under the middle of the car (which is disconcerting)
From the central/rear/top of the engine (near turbo) is an unusual 'intake' noise, evident when throttle off.
Frequency:
This has only happened 4/5 times since January. and again yesterday.
Mileage: 53,000 CLS 320 CDi.
Service: thru main dealer - car under warranty
Next:
The car is provisionally booked into Loughborough MB for diagnostics - where they plan to run the vehicle locally and see if the symptoms repeat(which I fell may be unlikely) they may also examine the area around the turbo.
(although any parts and labour will need paying as diagniostic work aint covered! arrrrgh)
