Coolant Dash Warning Message

Hi there. I have a W220 S430 1999 model and a "Coolant System - Visit Workshop" warning message appears on my console dash. The normal temperature usually sits at about 80c but now climbs as high as 100c. I've checked the coolant and it's full and dark green. Also the air-conditioner stopped blowing cold air. Would anyone know why this is happening?

Either water pump has failed or thermostat stuck possibly.

Or has the visco fan failed through blocked rad

Malcolm sounds about right, stat or pump most likely from what you describe. Most important thing - its likely overheating. Don't drive it far and get it looked at asap, otherwise you could do some expensive damage.

Check the radiator suction fan is working.

The coolant fault message can refer to anything in the coolant system. My car displayed this message because the fan controller had filled with water!

Def check the rad fan unit, this will cause all these faults.
