Malcolm, do you have the figures for the CL 600?

The CL600 has been dropped and now only the 65 with 12 pots , it must have been dropped before 09

What? This dude starts the engine of his W216 while standing outside. While inside the car, he starts the car without using the keyless-go option or key fob.

Link Here

Yes that can be done, but against the law in the UK

Update!!!

Offer accepted and a £1,000 deposit is required to seal the deal. Not a problem at all but I want to test drive a 63 AMG before making up my mind and committing myself. If I deposit a thousand pounds on the V12 and find myself loving the 63 AMG even more, what will I do? I have ruled out the Bentley from the list because of its outdated technology (media system) and the absence of sunroof especially for the GT versions. Also, the one with Mulliner Package is way out of my price range. So, I have decided to give it a miss! Now, I hope I am not buying this car on impulse. I made an offer straight away because I was completely smitten by the look of this car and the way it drives despite it not having the AMG performance package. The AMG equivalent will be a dream car to have and so far, I have not found the one that ticks all the boxes for me. The ones I have seen either have keyless-go and no distronic option or both and no massage seats, Alcantara roofline or Night-Vision Assist. I believe with a little patience, the right one that ticks all the boxes for me will definitely come up. I don't know if it's a matter of holding off for now, but for how long. Damn!!!

NB:

The good news is that the car insurance cost on either the V12 or 63 will still be the same that I pay towards the CLS 500. :)

Go and drive any 63 even if not with the options you want. At least then you will know if the cl600 is the one for you. I'm thinking the amg will blow you away. In which case you can wait for the right one to come up!

Ok your suggestion is not a bad idea at all. Habitually, I go to test drive cars that I am convinced tick all the boxes for me and that I may be tempted to buy. In that way, I avoid wasting my time and the time of the salesman. I can't imagine looking into the salesman's eyes and telling him 'Your car drives great but I can't commit because it doesn't have so so and so'. He may even end up breaking my jaw.

Just be honest with them. And tell them if you like it then you want them to find you the same with the spec you want. If they do then happy days for both. I recently drove an s class. It wasn't until I was inside the car I realised it didn't have memory. But at least I know how it drives and the salesman will then try to find me one more suitable to what I want spec wise.

That dark blue 911 in the forecourt looked good also.

A test in the 65 will follow :D

LOL. Most likely!

What I found really shocking when I was looking at the S Class Price list, was just how immense the price difference is between the 63 and 65 AMG. £50,000!!!! For that price you can buy a brand new...well whatever - take your pick!!

These cars do not sell quickly so your offer will keep without a deposit for a while yet ;)

Don't rush this decision, take your time and get the right car for you and don't be guilty of wasting salesmen's time, they enjoy it lol.
