Meh, if the engine has to come apart I'll wait until it blow the rod through the block. I'm sure it will be fine though.A bent rod is a weakened rod and can fail at a later date due to forces not being worked in a straight line
I once bent the con rod on a 300td, only noticeable by a bit more diesel knock at idle. That did 30,000 before it was sold on.
