Filter change only

2014 A200 W176. Looking at the position of the oil filter, it seem high on the engine. Is it possible to change oil filter without dropping oil out of the engine.

Yes, and if you pump out the old oil, as discussed on here loads of times (search for oil change), you can do both whilst stood up drinking tea.:):)

If its a screew on ,,or spin on filter , then they do have a no return valve inside .So it will be a clean job removing them . To remove the one thats lift out then if you remove the top ,then with a hook pull up the wire on the side and lift it out . But use a container to put the old filter in .

Puzzled why for the sake of what 4.5L of oil ... you wouldnt change the oil.
The chance of all that goodness wasted. ;)
