Flat battery boot wont open

My new battery has died for some reason but I cant get into the boot to charge it. Iv tried the key blade in the boot lock it turns fine but wont open.

Connection under the bonnet to let you put jump leads on and then open the boot as normal. Black box on passenger side close to the firewall. It has a Cross on it. (positive symbol). Other jump lead to earth wherever you can and then just use the internal boot release on the dash. Best of luck. Maz.

Ok just had a look I cant find it anywhere and it doesnt seem to say anything about it in the handbook.

Just found it under a cover. + terminal on the charger to that and the - end to earth on the lifting eye on the head.
