I asked the question because I have an A160 that clonks once if I pull away reasonably quickly and will also then clonk [once] on the overrun.
I can reproduce the noise with the car stationary by increasing the idle speed and then selecting D or R.
The clonk can be felt through the driver's side front engine mount [ the one attached to the cylinder head] and clearly heard on the subframe [ using a long screwdriver as a kind of stethoscope].
Changing the engine mount had no effect. I am now wondering about the front anti roll bar rubbers particularly as the anti roll bar clamp is situated directly below the engine mount where the clonk can be felt.
