- C-Class c220 sport bluetech 64 plate 2.1L
Hi forgive me if this is the wrong place im new.
So Saturday 13/01/2018 i took delivery of my first Mercedes switching from a bmw 1 series llve the car but have a major concern with fuel consumption.
So firstly i have a 64 plate c220 sport bluetech which is a 2.1 L engine. Nkt knowing how it was driven before myself i reset all my mpg counters and the car seems to be drinking alot of fuel.
Im struggling to get above 28mpg and this is the car in eco mode and driving like an old granny not enjoying the ride.
My job sometimes means we have quiet spells so ill sit in my car and i do nights so it gets very cold so the other night the car was running for couple hours at idle i know this aint great but i could have my bmw running most the night and hardly use any diesel. My bmw was a 2.0l m sport.
To put into prospective i put £30 diesel imto my merc amd covered 140 miles before i needed to fill up. My bmw would go all week on £20. and as i said im struggling to get above 28mpg
So im hoping thers is some merc genius out there than can help me the car is going back to were i bought it from on friday and they said they will plug it in and check for fuel leaks by doing this are they likely to find the source of the problem? My guess is dodgy MAF or O2 sensor but any help from you would be appreciated so when i go on friday i jave something to fire at them thanks in advance ive attached a pik of my car
