I am toying with 1 psi all round in mine..
I have a theory that if you can get the car to drive on the metal rim then the rolling resistance would be minimal..:D

There may be some efficiency losses due to rotating wheels but no forward motion.
On the other side though the brake pads should last longer.

What is recommended and how much is "exploding" ??

My Tyres (235-45-17) Recommended Pressures are 32 (F) and 35 (R). But I have 38 all round. Can "feel" the bumps- but I think extra pressure helps with MPG.

Any opinions on 38 - or what is a safe pressure ???

There are several pressure values listed on the filler cap. Any of them will be safe but if you go too high you'll wear out the centre of the tread before the rest of the tyre and then any fuel savings will be wiped out x10 by the cost of a new set of tyres.
