Hazards flash and then the boot opened on its own

Hi, the hazards on my 2017 GLE flashed without any sound and once they stopped flashing the boot opened on its own. Would anyone know why this might have happened?

Check for damp in the electronics ..you could have a bad short .

I will check. Thank you. I noticed last night that the o/s/r indicator came up as faulty with the rapid clicking as well when I indicated which then cleared itself minutes later. Hopefully it is just damp and nothing more serious

May or may not be helpful, but I had something similar on my W220 many years ago, and it turned out to be a micro switch in the boot handle that was dodgy.
