Hi all. Merc Vito 115 had a brand new turbo fitted.since then it won’t go past 3000 revs. Super slow. When van is parked I need to throttle down and black smoke comes out the back for about 30 seconds and stuck on 3000rpm then all of a sudden the smoke goes and it’s full revs and I’m good to go. Eml shows egr related code. Had a new egr and it’s the same. Van was remapped long time ago not sure if that’s relevant. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike it wouldn't be a split boost pipe by any chance? Black smoke is usually boost related but I could be wrong. My van is remapped and I also deleted the EGR as it was throwing minor fault codes that didn't trigger limp mode in case it got worse and started to cause limp mode

It was sprayed with brake cleaner and nothing reved up so I don’t think so
