Thank you for your reply! @stevebaines246 This makes sense, cost wise, what am I looking at (range)? remapping as well as ECU replacement (if at all it goes that way)? if you have an idea, please

A remap from a reputable tuner is around £400. I didn’t have to go the ECU route but was quoted by Merc specialist £750 plus vat and labour.

I'm getting the same fault code (102100) only when travelling on long journeys (comes on after about 1-2 hours). I have spoken to the previous owner who tells me that as far as he knows, it hasn't been mapped (1 previous owner before him). I'm thinking of getting a good tuner to check it out for me. Any recommendations for a tuner in North Kent please? My car is a 2011 W221 S350L

The code number is not relevant unless on Xentry as lots of things make up their own numbers.

If the car is not mapped, then it'd quite possibly an ecu fault. If it is the we can carry out a software update, back to stock and you can see if the fault returns. If not, we can then recalibrate (remap) it again properly
