2019 A200 AMG Line
Hi again,

Had a bit of a moan about my dealer and asked for opinions from lovely people here last month. Everything went all well in the end so thank you! I have received my A200 AMG Line today via click and collect which went smoothly like a breeze. After 10 mins, I was like is this car mine now? This easy?! The car drives like a dream and the denim blue colour is just so cool. It changes depending on the light! it looks almost navy in the dark. The downside is I live in the Countryside and it got muddy already on the way home :( The sunroof makes the car a bit more light and spacious, seat is super comfy, the ambient lighting and the MBUX are also great.

I do have a couple of questions though, I did some research on here but still don’t have the definite answer. Should I pay for the premium petrol? I filled the tank up with shell V Power as recommended on here and it does drive very nicely, should I stick with that?

And also anyone lives in the South West? I live in Tiverton and am thinking of getting a service plan with Mercedes South West so will appreciate any feedbacks from you all who had any experience with their servicing department.

Anyway greetings from a young-ish first time Mercedes owner x T

Hello and welcome

I wouldn’t be putting high octane premium fuel in it as it’s not designed for it. It won’t harm it at all but it won’t benefit from it either.

No point, its not a hi performance engine so spend the saving on a pressure washer and some fitted mud flaps , sounds like you need them

Hi Tilly and welcome to the forum. Just don't waste your money on high Octane fuel, you won't see any benefit from it

As above, no need for V Power. As far as service plans are concerned, unfortunately you've just missed the 20% discount offer on these from MB. It's worth doing a bit of research in terms of at what point you take out the plan to get the maximum benefit. Compare individual service costs with the cost of the plan but bear in mind the plan will also include the price of additional items required. 'Tis a bit confusing - read a few of the previous posts on this forum about service plans before taking the plunge.
Hopefully someone on here living in your neck of the woods can give you advice about local MB dealers service.

Ah thank you, that’ll save me a lot of money! Lol :) I will definitely be fitting some mud flaps then!

Welcome to this forum as well as the A Class one, great knowledgeable members here who will help & advise. As said on the other side I use premium fuels but then my car uses diesel

Welcome to your new car, which will run very nicely indeed on standard petrol

There's an A class forum?

There is and I did join when I was thinking, or my wife was thinking about an 'A' Class. Compared with this site I found the site pretty dull compared with this site, I think I got one maybe two 'welcomes' which was not a good start. We ended up buying a 'C' Class so stayed with MB Owners. Probably the best site out there :D

Hello and welcome. A work colleague of mine has an A Class like yours in white and I am very impressed with the model. It seems to have come along way from the first generation
