Hello all,

I'm getting a very frustrated with my 54 plate ML270 now, I had injector failure, so I have replaced all 5 of them(well an injector specialist did) and a specialist Merc technician has fitted a new MAF and given it a thorough service, however the car still cuts out, when I then go to start it, it fires and then immediately stops?
Any ideas please folks, this thing has already had a £1000 out of me this month so any pointers or tips would be hugely appreciated?

Thanks in advance for any pointers offered.

So it's getting a surge of fuel then air? Then a long crank and it goes fine?

Thank you for your reply, it turns out that injector 1 looks like it wasn't replaced after all, however very hard to prove and the injector company have replaced it without any questions and now it runs fine.
Thanks for your response though :)

My Ml270 cutting out

I wonder if you can help me? I live in south Africa and bough my ml270 6 months ago. I have had no problems driving around locally. then I took a long trip, 70 + kms , when I stopped the car it was fine. When I started it the engine turned over a few times and then cut out. it took quite a while starting but eventually it started, it sounded like it wasn't getting fuel. the car ran fine on the return journey , I stopped the car, once again it started a few turns then cut out, after a while it started fine. I sounded like there wasn't any fuel get to the engine , then it started again. I have no problems with local journeys.
I have just got back after doing 1000km + and the same problem. My mechanic has checked the comp. and said the only problem was a glow coil was faulty and he informed me that wasn't a problem with it
I really like this car. so can anybody help me.?

Would bet some money on air leaks into the fuel system. Check for air bubbles in the plastic lines. Normally can be fixed with new "O" rings.
