clk3202001,sl6002003 with everything regrettably sold ,A class 170cdi auto. NG/TF1800 ML250
Yep it's om651 2.2 CDI twin turbo

i see 50mpg at cruise 70mph on my 2 tonne ml with om651 ,which,as ussual is less than the maker states . which annoys me ,but 50 at 2 tonne cant be too bad .

my 02 170 a class does better !! but it dont weigh 2t !

i fill up at tescos all the time

only reason im moaning is because im comparing it to my previous 520d touring and a6 avant -they seemed to be alot more efficient

yes i will try running it to empty first -then il brim it with shell vpower diesel + add injector cleaner

ive just looked at when i bought the car - over 28,300 miles it did 42.8mpg
the previous owner didnt reset trip meter, he was an old man that did that 28k in 3 yrs
Try filling up at sainsburys get the tyres pumped up to 38psi go for a motoway drive set cruise at 65 and watch the mpg roll in baby.:D:shock::cool:o_O:geek:

Wow mate brilliant! Today I did a trip 110miles
But the needles moved quite a lot..
I got 49.6mpg at 70mph on motorway

My brother's e250 CDI estate got 40.8mpg at 80mph on motorway but it took a quarter tank!!!! To do 115miles ..that's absolutely ****
My 520d did 444miles and had just less than half left

That's still not bad mate. I just done a 215 mile trip and only managed 50mpg. Saying that I had the wife and kids in the car and I set the CC to 70mph not my usual 65mph.
At one point the consumption bar was reading 35mpg then I put CC to 65mph and it went to 40plus mpg that 5mph does make a difference.

I've just got home .both cars had 4 adults in them . So fully loaded in terms of weight!
Done 230miles mostly 70mph with 30miles of 50mph motorway zones
I did exact same route but was very careful to get max mpg whilst doing 65-70mph
I've noticed these new clocks just do not go above average 53mpg lol even if you're rolling ! Lol it's like they're limited to 53

My brother has exact same car as mine
We tested them both today
He drives 80mph on motorway all the time a(doesn't care about mpg) after 250miles he's done its taken full half tank and averaged 42.8mpg

So at 70mph it does 45-50mpg
At 80mpg it does 40mpg
The blue line is what my tank was on after doing 180miles mostly local with 60miles motrway probably .so i set off with tank on the blue line and now its bang on quarter left

My brother however tanked it before we set off, now he has half

I’d stop worrying about how much of the tank it’s showing, unless the cars have the same sized tanks it’s irrelevant.

you also need to calculate the actual figures brim to brim.

My cls s/b has the 220 om651 and is about 49 on the obc, but the actual is 47.61mpg over the 7200 miles I’ve had it. which is pretty accurate.tank is quite small at 59litres or something...but have got about 575miles between fill ups.

this compares with actual measured 48.0mpg over 32k miles in a bmw g30 520d Msport but it would do about 700 miles but has a 70 litre tank....

have you had it serviced and checked all the filters..I had an e class estate another 220 but it never came anywhere close to beating 40mpg over 130k Miles i did in it but despite full mb history to 100k I realised the air filter had never been changed...something to check

No it was from Munich to Bad Mergentheim, & Bavaria is not flat. About half on the autobahn at 75MPH, & the other half on A & B roads over rolling countryside.

Today my brother's car e250 CDI estate with 150k has done 44miles from Huddersfield to bradford-inner city driving 15miles in and city and 30miles on motrway
It only gave 29mpg ! So now since full tank yesterdy it's done 240motorway miles and 50miles in A roads
And it's got just over quarter tank left

I think the DPF must be causing it or something else but not sure what. No lump mode or fault codes showing

That's excellent for. Huge 350cdi ! I wish I could get that mpg but I think my area is very very hilly so it's constantly dragging 2tom uphill

The 350CDI is surprisingly economic on a run. I get 48-50MPG over the whole year.
