Hi all,
I'm hoping to buy a c class w205 in the next few weeks second hand

It would be my first merc and not really savy with what comes with each spec level

I would like the best factory brakes, what trim would I need to choose which has them, please?

I'm thinking of a C250d AMG line premium plus (UK)

thanks in advance!

Ash

The standard brakes are more than good enough.

All non-AMG cars will have the same brake options within their weight class. The V8 engined cars may have slightly larger discs. Same with the estates. But the AMG variant/s will have significantly larger brakes due to their much higher performance.

Wish that we're true of mine .
S204 is the C class estate? I had a contemporary 07 E class estate (S211) and the braking performance was excellent.

They did a silly 295 mm front and 300 mm rear set up on these .

205's look much improved disc diameters .

That does sound silly to me.
Why would any car have larger discs on the rear?

Then they stick 344 mm fronts on a smaller and lighter SLK with the same engine in .

The chief vehicle engineer was clearly on an experimental Afghanistani skank high at the time… that makes zero sense whatsoever.

The S205 brakes are very good on the AMG premium plus trim, okay not quite as good as either my older S211 with SBC or the S212 with 6pots on the front and uprated brakes, but still pretty close (yes me and my brother decided to do some silly things on a private airfield just to see how much better E classes are over c classes)
