I have a 2006 350 and one of my number plate lights out (off side) and the other is a bit dodgy. I would like to replace them which means taking out the whole unit. I have searched on the web and cant find a definitive answer. The font of knowledge that was Television on an old post on this forum referred to something years ago but gave details by PM.

I read on one forum post in the USA that the holder can be pried out from the outside which after looking at it seems unlikely. Although I am ready to be proved wrong there!

I am looming for advice on what to do which at the moment I am assuming is taking the boot lid liner off for access from the back but even before i do that i am thinking there is not a lot of room to get my hands in.

Looking at the boot lid trim it looks like i have to have the roof down before i can get it off as the two fill panels are in the way with the roof up

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just saw your signature Malcolm spec made me smile - from memory that "electric everything"
It's Malcolm's car. We bought it from just before he passed away.

Incidentally the file was from Malcolm's archives. I have a copy from him.

Problem fixed. Connectors were covered in verdigris. Grazed my knuckles but strangely satisfying to fix a part without cost!
