R230 SL500 Armrest lid latch broken

The armrest lid latch has broken on my 2003 SL500. I've looked at it and the latch assembly doesn't appear to be a serviceable item. Can someone please confirm if this is the case. Any advice on how I might remedy this would be much appreciated. Regards Kev

I think this is why my alarm kept going off, the centre armrest wasn't closing properly, I now give it a good whack, and all sorted. :grin:

I think the most wonderful thing is, you open the lid to get something out and the dash goes "ping" and says glove box lid open. Its very good when you get old.
