Hey guys my 2003 SL350 (R230) has a small leak on the roof driver side hinge (see photos)

Is this an easy DIY job?

Open the roof part way (support it with a block of wood at the front to stop it closing again)
Clean all the seals and check they're not coming away or damaged
If all good then get some Gummi pflege and / or silicone spray and liberally treat all the seals.

Thanks will wait till the rain stops and give it a go haha :)

If the seal is coming away is it fixable with some silicone?

If the seal is coming away, clean the surface and glue it down with a suitable glue

Hi , also just got a SL350 2003 , did you sort the leak by cleaning the seals? I have a big problem with water getting into the boot . I have read all the posts , think I have a big job on my hands :-(

Boot leaks are common and are a design fault. Follow the guide on here and it will be a problem solved.
My own SL was the one Television (Malcolm) did originally and it's still dry several years later.
