Nice one :)

I think you should set up a shop selling off your old components, your technical support is far superior. i.e by telling the individual what they require :)

Additionally, are all phono cables the same inside? i.e. is there a different cable to send a video output and for an audio output?

Nope all the same, ideally you would not use a phono plug on a video source, but they will work just fine,,,,the thing is the professorial cables are too large for car use and you cannot bend them to get a good neat job. you can spend ££££££££ on special gold plated plugs etc that have a cheap piece of cable in the middle

Do not coil any spare cable if you can avoid it

Excellent advice, thank you.

One less problem once this is sorted.

I see the do remote things now using a video sender, that might be a solution in mine as the wires will be very hard work to get through the car

link?

In order to create an earth, could I use the bolt thread from the light cluster? It goes through the body and is tightened via a bolt, if I place the wire between these two, should this work?

Hi Television,

I have an issue.

I connected it all up......and the screen remains blank.

I then disconnected the male rca for the video and touched it around the female connector. The screen flickers.....any idea how to get the video to work?

What have I done wrong? I do have another camera and it does the same thing.

The camera surely must have a live feed, they cannot be self powered via a video input

You can test the socket on the lead going in by plugging a standard video camera or signal from any TV video output

Is the live feed preventing the camera from working?

Would my installation be compromising the circuit?

I had to extend the two wires that send the power to the camera.

Once I connect the video camera from the house and turn it on, should the navigation display?

You can plug any video source into the RCA female jack and you should get a good picture to test
