I wouldn’t stand behind the car if it was reversing, with or without a driver in it.

Awesome tech! I can imagine using it to reverse into the garage or what have you.

Have you not a motor mover on your caravan? That is awesome, a PlayStation Controller for the non PS Generation. You can move a great big bit of kit to millimetres perfection whilst having your hand in your pocket :geek::rolleyes::cool::D

Oh, yes, we certainly have! When we got our first van, a tiny Avondale Wren, it had a motor-mover fitted. We thought we'd never bother with it - until we tried it! Hooked...

I generally use my ML to move my caravan ;) it's quicker than going inside the caravan, switching the mover on & engaging it on the wheels then going back & forward to reduce/remove the scrub on the twin wheels as it turns ;);)

Hi Niall

Does your remote parking still work ok?
I must have had some phone update wreck mine.
Just kept saying abut the phone must be within 6 metres of the car, and the key must be within 3 metres and refused to allow me to connect.

Contacted support, they ask me to remove some settings, uninstall the remote parking app and reinstall.
But when I try to authorise new vehicle, all goes according to the instructions, then the car gives a pairing code.
When i enter the pairing code, it waits for quite sometime and just says connection failed.
Its a Samsung Galaxy S10+, on Android version 10.
Latest version of the parking app from the play store.

Have contacted support again, but no response from them.
Reading the comments on the reviews on the play store, most people can't get a connection established either

Agree- it took my wife and I a while to understand one another ... but eventually I could reverse my 2T off-road caravan into tiny gaps with my Landcruiser. She always blamed me but forgot that I reversed massive trucks with big artillery in my youth (with a proper spotter :D) .............

Service is still valid until September 2021, the car is only 1.5 years old.

This is what I was asked to do, point number 9 is incorrect though.
I have to do this via vehicle settings, not system settings as far as I see.
I will try again, as I didn't quite follow it step by step.
For number two, I simply deleted the phone from the system instead of authorising it.

1. Forget the hands-free kit and MB-Park from the Bluetooth settings of your device
2. Unauthorized your phone to the Remote Parking Aid pilot:
Vehicle> Remote parking driver> telephone> deactivate> confirm
3. Uninstall the Remote Parking app
4. Turn off and restart your phone
5. Reinstall the Remote Parking app
6. Connect a new device to the multimedia console in:
Vehicle> Assistance> Parking camera and driver> Remote parking driver
7. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone
8. Start the vehicle
9. On the head unit of your vehicle choose: System settings> Activate Park Assist> Remote Parking Assist> Add new device
10. Start the "Remote Parking" application and accept the terms of use.
11. Select in the application "add new vehicle"
12. On the vehicle's head unit, choose MB_Park
13. A 6-digit code will appear on the vehicle screen, enter it in your application.
14. The smartphone is now authorized to use the Remote Parking

Thanks very much, I do really like the car.
I had a W212 E63 before it, but the W213 is way more nice inside, and its quicker too :)
I tried following their instructions again this afternoon, to the letter (apart from point 9) - I added new device via remote parking in the vehicle settings.
Anyway, its still fecked.

We share the same surname by the way.

A couple of other photos

I'll load them up tomorrow.

Have emailed Mercedes me support again, so hopefully I get a decent reply back

The only practical value of remote parking would be fitting a large car into a modern (small) garage. Until now we've needed room to open the door and limbo dance out. I can't think of any other benefit.
