S213 / W213 Parking Beeps?

Hi all,

I don’t know if this is normal, when I reverse out of a parking space, the front of my car could be very close to the car next to it … with no beeps. I can see on the 360 cam that it’s flashing red, but no beeps.

However when I put it in drive, the front sensors start beeping again.

Car in neutral and both front and rear sensors make a beeping noise …

My car beeps when going forward in Drive. It did the other day when I was going slowly forward close to a hedge to avoid some oncoming traffic on a narrow lane, (I also have the 360° camera although that wouldn’t have been on at the time during normal driving).

mine does ..... but it doesn't have the clever 360 deg cameras though

Not sure this is the right way though. Car bleepers use all surrounding speakers so the driver knows where the beeping is coming from. Ie when it’s in neutral. It just seems like I’ve noticed it after latest software update…
