Sh*t start to my holiday

As the title implies, I had barely gotten three miles from my house when someone ran into me on a roundabout.
Not best pleased to put it politely.
Rear quarter and alloy fu*ked.
Fortunately the car was still drivable and after exchanging details Swmbo and I carried on regardless.

Not good news Jimbo, glad it wasn't anything more serious. We had a similar fate the day we were to go on holiday and someone pulled out of a side road straight into the left side of our SL500 and wrote it off, luckily the Missus was okay. However we still left for our holiday albeit in the SL55, so it wasn't all that bad.

Very sorry to hear, when you get a chance get a mechanic to check that wheel if you are doing any distance motorway driving, also make sure the bolts have not loosened....

Reminds me of an incident we had on a holiday down in Devon. It was raining heavily when we arrived at the rented cottage and reversing, as I’d overshot the entrance in a country lane, didn’t see a boulder lurking in the long grass and scraped the rear bumper. Had to look at the damage all week so know exactly how you feel.

Hope you get this sorted without problem when you get back and do enjoy the break
