Thinking of buying a 2003 CLK .. Any advice?

Hi everybody,

I have recently come across and ad from a dealership trying to sell a 2003 CLK 1.8 Automatic Kompressor.

The ad is currently selling for EUR1,600 which is a pretty reasonable price. I am wondering if there is anything that I may need to take into consideration so that I don't run in to problems. And based on your experience how much should this particular CLK cost? What is a good mileage for this car to have?

I would be very happy to get some advice from members.

With the 111 engine, then a good car, with the 271 not so good. Great cars, but be sure on that engine.

Go over the bodywork, they rust on the arches, bonnet and boot lid round the number plate surround

It should be on the registration documents, or you can get it from decoding the VIN

Only the non-kompressor 180 at that age was the M111. All the other 4 cylinders were M271.
