I've just been looking at Haynes, and its a fair job.

I got a genuine set of oil pump gears off ebay for a good price, and have a new crankshaft pulley.

I'm going to make up a list of all the parts I will need to replace the chain, idler, camshaft sprocket, and the 3 chain rails, plus all of the seals and o rings etc.

Then I'll take a very deep breath and review my options.

That then leaves me with a top end overhaul to contemplate - at that point the engine should be good for a long time.
