This is no joke - I heard on the radio - apparently, if you claim that you are a member of the Taliban then you are not subject to parking tickets or ULEZ due to some loophole - they went on to say that the Taliban already have in excess of 2000 unpaid parking tickets and ULEZ fines which can not be chased up - I dont know why, or if I believe it, but it was on the news today on the radio???

Apparently, as soon as you turn off to go inside the M25 belt you are clocked.

I’ve not seen any news etc but I’ll take your word for it. If that’s a the case it’s hilarious. Surely it should be based on vehicle specs and the zones. Not one rule for one and another for another.

However no doubt if you claim to be taliban to avoid ulez, you will then be subjected to all the other security and monitoring and held in captivity.

I foresee more and more vehicles being cloned and more working people forced out of business/work.

Not all the area within the M25. Map link.
Living near Heathrow I have to be careful where I travel but most places I need to go are outside the zone apart from St Hellier hospital every 6 months and for that l can use our Golf. All it has done to me is take revenue from businesses within the zone l will no longer use. My other half works at Bedfont lakes and can drive my car up to the estate but not into it!

Waze seems to be on the ball, any address within the zone comes up with a charge warning. Cannot attested to the accuracy but might help getting caught out.

Our old mini still has till May next year before it is classed as historic so Keith is going to SORN it till then as the run he normally takes the car on goes through lots of areas that are now ULEZ areas, flipping nuisance

Whilst I can't disapprove, it 'aint Citizen Khan that will pay for the repairs.
