Vibration on 2010 c350

My c350 has a vibration in mid range acceleration, it doesn't feel rattly but is really annoying. So far 2 garages have been unable to find the cause. It is possible to accelerate through the vibration, my gut feeling is that it is a drivetrain issue, but I'd be grateful for your help and ideas please. I don't repair my own car but it would be nice to be able to give the garage a clue!

What mileage has the car got ?
Did your car have the gearbox atf/filter change at 37500k miles ?

Car has 81000 miles, not sure about gearbox filter, I'll search the service history to check, also add this to things to make the garage aware of, thanks

If the car has never had an atf change , it needs one now , if the car had one at 37500 it needs another now anyway
