Vito start error

Could really use some advice and help with my 2004 vito. I've had to get the injectors overhauled after one had been left too long with black death by the previous owner, which has caused it to overheat the injector and caused excessive wear. This is now all sorted, however it has come up with a new trick while it has been in pieces! I came to start it to bring it back into the workshop to finish putting the last few parts on it, however the battery was as flat as a fart (battery less than 12 months old!) So I jumped it and brought it into the workshop. When I turned the ignition off though, the windscreen wipers started running?! I presumed it was having a fit at the excessively low volts in the battery. So I removed the battery and charged it up over night and refitted it in the morning. It started fine and the windscreen wipers weren't on, brilliant.... or so I thought! However when I went out to it at dinner time the wipers were running again and the battery was almost flat! So again the battery was charged up but now it won't start and comes up with start error. The ignition does turn on as normal but when you turn the key the last section does nothing. I've spoke to Revtronic in Bradford and they inform me from the part number that it can't be recoded, so are there any other options or do I need an ECU kit, if so which one? As everyone I have looked at has a different part number?!! Does this matter? Thanks for any help guys
