Hi,
I used to have a W124 300D with cruise control, and you had to push the accelerator in a good bit for any kind of response. I understood this to be normal.
I have now acquired a 220TE. The pedal seem too sensitive. Most noticeable when reversing... stick it in reverse, it crawls along at 2mph... tap the accelerator and it goes into shuttle launch mode! It's very awkward in car parks etc I fear I will embed myself in another car soon.
Same in Drive at the lights. You just tap the acclerator and it launches itself. Even others have commented that they wouldn't like to drive the car because of it.
Is this a known problem, hopefully with a simple fix?
Thanks.
