Hi folks,
The two convenience lights on either side of the boot on my W211 no longer come on when I open the boot.
I suspect a blown fuse.
Does anyone know which fuse protects that circuit? Is it located in the engine bay box, dashboard compartment or boot compartment?

The other thing that might be faulty is the switch that turns them on. I've looked for it, but can't find it. Anyone know where that hides out?

I can see no fuse for the convenience light in the boot in the fuse diagram in either fuse box. usually the rear sam is the one that takes care of such stuff but convenience lights do not regularly have a separate fuse for them.

the switch should be a pin switch as part of the latch mechanism on the boot lid hidden behind the coverings if I am not mistaken, sometimes the wire form the switch going from the hinge can become chaffed or grounded too.
