I purchased 5 of these off Ebay for the same price .. .. i was robbed .Once you use these you wont go back to normal dusters any more . I have over 50 yellow dusters that get used for anything now but polishing . I was robbed on Ebay by the same seller he sold me a good DSC06969.JPG wax polish called Ultima . Same seller i had the dusters off . I purchased a large tin .I was sent a medium size one in its place, with no contents weight on it . I questioned him over it, he said he had no large tins left . But sent me a free duster and aplicator to put the wax on with to make up for it. The duster he sent was the type in question .This made me buy 5 more of them .

Recently I bought a Battery car Polisher for my Mercedes. At my age and Disability I thought it would be easier.
I started with washing the car then using Polish using the Polisher. I did the whole car DOH! before changing the cloth to the recommended
one. I then Polished my car car. The next day I inspected my hard work and found all the panels had Haze on them.
That was wasted day. I have now redone the car. My question is Is it better to put the Polish on with a Cloth and use the Polisher to take it off ?
(But only doing it in small areas ) or throw the Polisher away and get it Valet twice a year by a professional.

Do you need to Polish the car after using certain car wash liquid ?

What do you mean by polish? Wax on Wax off?

Modern products like the 'Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic' range (I mention it because it is the best of several I have tried & highly rated by many well established YouTube detailers ) are a lot easier to apply and remove than traditional waxes, give better protection and require less maintenance (they claim 12 months which I have found to be correct). Literally a wipe on (let dry) wipe off process. No machine needed. TW products are also sensibly priced.

I sold my 6 year old SL400 and the MB dealer commented on the amazing condition of my paintwork (only ever hand washed by me).

However, depending on how fussy you are, your paint may need so called “correction” to remove swirls and other imperfections. This is best done by a professional with a machine.

Car 'valeting / detailing” has become a lucrative industry for the product manufacturers & the “detailers”. Then, there are detailers & there are detailers detailers.....My son uses a mobile guy to do ceramic coating and maintenence of their cars & last time I looked the older car (3 years) was covered in swirls. I have no doubt that the newer one (8 months) will eventually be in the same state.

Thank you for your advise.
Unfortunately I have a disability and cannot continually use a polishing cloth for any length of time.
I am very independent and prefer to do things the conventional way Wax on Wax off
I just thought paying out in Excess of £100 for a Polisher would be easier.
Thank you again for the advise ( My favourite Package is Auto Glyn ) from Halfords

I had a polisher, used it twice and sold it. Doing it by hand was easier for me. Try the TW - you will be surprised. It is very easy to put on (quite watery) and just as easy to remove. No more difficult than hand washing the car.

There are some products that can be sprayed on while the car is wet (after washing) and pressure washed off that work quite well.
