Gave the Interior a reasonable clean and treated the Seats etc to some AutoGlym Leather Balm. Looking much better me thinks....:D

Also dropped in some Tailored Cloth Backed Rubber Mats over the Original SLK Mats as they are in very good condition and would like to keep them that way. ;)

One thing I did notice whilst Vacuuming behind the Seats is that on each side behind the Seats are 2 Speaker Covers with "BOSE" on them. Does this mean it has the Bose System fitted? I thought this wasn't fitted as standard. All I know is the System is mighty powerful, and it can't just be the Headunit that has been fitted!

Anyway - I'm well pleased. Just wish it didn't have so much rust..... :(:(:(

Some pics.......

Starting to look very nice. A mate of mine has the same car the year & colour, but its the 350.
He has had a bit of body work done & its in great condition.

New battery fitted on the SLK, connected the battery charger to maintain power. Put masking tape over the +ve battery connector to stops shorting, while I swapped batteries. Forgot how sticky masking tape is, had a bit of a game getting it off.
Something I didn't know until last week. Turn the key to position 1, press the reset button 3 times quickly & the battery voltage is displayed.

Thank you.....

Not saying you're wrong, but are you sure it is a "350"? I thought they only did a "320" on the R170....

That's the hidden service menu where you can do all sorts like put it in dyno mode so all traction control is fully off, also has the oil level and a few other bit

Looked out the window at it again, really do need to fix that DRL and broken lower grill, oh and detail it badly, haven’t done it since I bought the car 18 months ago and the paint just looks flat even after a wash :(

Took the C180K Coupe into https://www.netley-garage.co.uk/ To have a Starter Motor fitted.... First time I have ever had a Starter Motor give up on me! Although after 224400 miles maybe it was time..... It could have just picked a better time to do it though!!!

At least it was a nice day for a long walk back home.... :D

Didn't get the chance to do anything to the MB to-day, so mine stays dirty. :(

My time was taken up washing and polishing my Granddaughters car. She has had the car for three years almost and has probably cleaned it about twice. Her boyfriend has done it a couple of times and now I have washed and polished it twice

I am so hot now I am off to the shower

Drove it a couple of hundred miles on holiday. Today’s stellar achievement, 18.1mpg, 142 miles in 4h55m.

There’s a reason I don’t often come down this way often!

Still... 3 miles from Torquey now ;) @JBell fancy a pint this week?

Drove it a couple of hundred miles so it could chat to some friends.
And very nice it was to see.

Going to take mine for a 4hour trip presently to do the same :)
