Did the camera actually go off or just turn off the screen. My Nextbase has a 20 second delay set before the screen goes blank but the camera is still recording.
Traced it to a bad earth on the power unit where I used the screw that holds the fuse box on the driver's side, too much paint.
Thanks for your help at least I've read the instructions!

Eventually got around to checking the ATF yesterday when I had been running around so should get a decent "Hot Measurement", only to find out that it was way over the almost up to the Metal part of the Dipstick!

For those that have seen an ATF Dipstick will know what I'm talking about.......

Anyway, it as getting late so I decided to suck some out totay.

After much faffing around and measuring I found that after taking out about 360ml it was more or less correct. (I have kept what I removed just in case I need to put some back after another check in a couple of days). At least the ATF is nice and pink and clear!

The Transmission had been recently serviced so obviously someone was careless on the "refill".... Idiots!

There was no noticeable abnormalities in the operation in the Transmission to give me pause and make me check - it was fine....???

This just goes to show that it is good practice to check your ATF Level as previously on my S500 I found it to be lacking of nearly 500mls! No wonder it kept on going into "Limp Mode" if I drove it a bit hard! After topping up everything was absolutely fine!

This is what I took out:

Did a follow-up check on the ATF when up to temp and it was spot on!

Also stopped off at the Mercedes Dealership and picked up a new Cap as I had noticed the 'O' Ring was missing from the old one and you can't just get the 'O' Ring separately, only the Locking Clip. £7.35 Not bad considering on Ebay people are selling used one for twice that!

Washed and vacuumed it..............again.
I quite enjoy giving the car a good clean, but its soul destroying knowing in a day or two the rain will be back and its filthy again.
I hate filthy cars too. Better start investing in car shampoo shares.

Just driven mine, top down as well as just cold (3’)

Air scarf and heated seats are worth their weight :D:p:cool:

It could do with a bucket of water thrown over it but I’d rather drive it :)

Is that gona be a dear job?

bought spring cheap in e c p. but the bolts are being a pain so will not be sure till tomorrow. But it’s running at 4/5 hrs so far and an hr yet in the morning. But the quote was £50-60 fit fitting both but I am afraid it will be more than that.
I was going to do them my self but I could not get the main bush bolt moved at inner arm so I gave up. , they have same problem so having to disconnect all at the hub end. So lot
of work

.
Removed the rear bumper and sealed two vents under the rear lights, that were letting water into the spare wheel well (which houses my lovely Bose subwoofer) ... atrocious design quality - every "seal" is loose and rubber gaskets must be there for decorative purposes only. I could stick a pinkie between metal and plastic!

Anyway, all done now, hopefully this will keep water away. o_O
