Heard on the weather news this morning that at the weekend some will be waking up Sunday to a white powder on your cars from this warm front that’s coming in

Looks like you’ve engaged “warp drive” ;) :D

Yep, it was certainly fast, bit of a swizz though, still charge the same amount, but with no pre wash :( no wonder it was fast through the wash

That’s not right, contact customer services and you’ll no doubt get some vouchers. Worth a message

They told us last time that they're not allowed to touch the cars, but after today's wash I thought that a pre wash with the pressure washer there's no contact anyway. Will seek your advice Rus thank you ;)

After what happened years ago to my 820 turbo vitess thanks to automatic car washes I can't bring myself to put my cars through one despite the S204 being absolutely filthy (like the weather), my normal hand car wash being closed for Covid and me being not in the mood to get the buckets and wash mitts out. Plus I can't get at our pressure washer, it's buried at the back of the garden shed behind loads of boxes of Xmas decorations (that won't move until I can get the SLK out of her garage) and sundry other crap!!

Bought a aftermarket grill for the Eclass and fitted it today. Now I think I made a mistake as the star looks huge and should be bolted onto a truck  somehow I don't think it will be on the car for long.

Cleaned out the door bottoms from too much corrosion protector causing pooling of the water instead of allowing it to flow out of the drain holes. This was causing steam to get into the electrics, cards and door lock mechanism.
Water flows away much better now, but I need some cosmoline to paint on the exposed metal nice and thinly so I do not get lakes of water forming again.

Not a spot of rust in the door bottoms either - which is refreshing.

Took the 55 for a run, it's an amazing car the SL55, it can be up to its door handles inside of water and still everything works........

......And everything one needs for an engine and transmission service on the E Class from MB Grangemouth ;)

Took mine for a state sanctioned drive, first time in a week :) started and ran perfectly :)
I really need to move the bike so I can get it back in the garage, I've some new bolt-ons arriving for the bike though and I'd like to fit them before I put it away so the SLK is going to have to sit outside for a few more days.

the CL500 has moved on to its new owner, he is very happy.

Sad to see it go, such a beautiful car.

we still have the 320CLK convertible (passed its mot on weds:)) so still staying on:cool:

off to sob gently - looking at vans as a replacement just isn’t as sexy.

Took it through the local car wash yesterday
Doesn't seem to have hurt the paint and at least it had a good underbody wash too.

It'll get a good dollop of Sonax this morning to keep the weather at bay.

Threw a bucket of water over 3 of them and polished the new one. Then got them all back in the garage. The new bike is wider than the old one...
