You want a nice little garage…My Wife has just announced that she had heard that there will be Sahara sand in the rainfall tonight, Pressure Washers at the ready Boys and Girls.
Only just cleaned mine this morning. Happens every time just lately
I forgot to mention on Tuesday. Dropped the new 251 off at Welwyn Merx for A/C fix and The Dreaded Timing Chain Rattle.
Also, ordered new/reman NSF calliper for the 221. Just under £200, hope it arrives soon!

E220d (oil in brake servo) £5600 bill for repairs
This is truly appaling!!!! Terrible service and shocking longevity on parts!!!!!!forums.mercedesclub.org.uk
The new (350 facelift) is a much, much nicer car to drive than the 320. I blame Alastair, I was gobsmacked at how rapid his was when he came over to give me a lift a few months back. How are you finding life with the W251?

It’s a ****** big car, no two ways about it, have to be careful in parking bays etc; but it’s quick, economical (40-43mpg on a run) and can fit all of the children plus SWMBO’s handbag(!) with room to spare. I like it.
Plus, I must say, it’s a bit of a looker.
Haha, didn't happen just nice clean rainPete sake, I have been waiting for the last Saharan sand/dust to still dissipate as was still being deposited daily :/
With any luck the rain will wash it into the earth.

I meant did you see the link to the recall on R-Class 251... in the threadI did, luckily that car isn’t a) a 251 or b) a 350 OM642 fitted
I’ve already bought the timing chain tensioner, now waiting on the bad news to see if the chain needs swapping too.
****** awful how the main dealer treated him though. That would be a Luton van with “MB WILL SCREW YOU” on the side, parked outside for a few days if it were me.
No, no I didn’t.I meant did you see the link to the recall on R-Class 251... in the thread

Yes we do. It surprised me too, I must admit, but we have done >600 miles to a fill without being careful.do you have a 350CDI 4matic. Just adking as my figs on economy are no where near
Have a word with @LostKiwi when he called they said it was country specific and nothing for the UK… (There is a recall in the US (unsurprisingly…))No, no I didn’t.
However, good news, I just checked the whole affected VIN list and there are only 3 R Class VINs on it. Luckily ours isn’t one of them!
Scratch that last, ours IS one of them. Booked into MB Northampton…
