And after all the care and attention I have given it too, I wonder how much it is worth in parts......

Maybe I should have bought this.....

For sale.The above. 236.000miles goes like a bomb.....can I say that? Goes really well.
My workhorse for the past 5 years. Would never sell but Khan has an eye on my money.
Some wear and tear on the body and a few rust spots but a real beauty. Two new front tyres (£300!!)
Massage and cornering support seats, sunroof,7 seats!! Genius engineering sadly condemned to the scrapheap.
No leaks of oil or water. Good brakes.
Live in London NW2. MOT to October can get another if needed.

Whilst hooning around Derbyshire on my bike last Sunday I came across an SLK250… it had an “AMG“ badge on the left and a “Sport” badge on the right. I thought that must be @davidsl500 as he was doing ~38mph when I passed him.

Changed the ATF Filter after 3 Sump-Dump and Refills over the last few months.

Just glad I checked the level a couple of days later when it was nice al hot - needed 300mls...!!!
Come on man - it's not rocket science!

ps. And I supplied a Dipstick..... And enough Fuchs ATF!

Earlier today, I wet vac'd my front seats as they were a lil bit marked up.. Well the driver side was worse than the passenger

I first took it to a local valet place and he wanted £25 per seat just to whizz the vac over.. So I did it myself with a bottle of slightly watered down 1001 and a Bissell carpet cleaner.. Looking far far better now

Now they have dried out they look top notch again.



Surprising how much gunk can come out of two seats!



Tomorrows job... Paint/refresh my brake calipers

Earlier today, I wet vac'd my front seats as they were a lil bit marked up.. Well the driver side was worse than the passenger

I first took it to a local valet place and he wanted £25 per seat just to whizz the vac over.. So I did it myself with a bottle of slightly watered down 1001 and a Bissell carpet cleaner.. Looking far far better now

Started this little job yesterday, the rubber shroud attached to the ariel was breaking up, and to stop any water ingress i got a square of 4mm neoprene rubber, made a new shroud but had to make two end caps to finnish off and put a small bead of black sealent to finnish off.
Yes i know its not a factory style finnish but it was bugging me with the breaking rubber so had to do something about it, yeah a little bit heath robinson but it does the job though, need to finnish off cleaning when sealant goes off

Today's job was to refresh the calipers, they were looking a lil rusty and the "Mercedes Benz" logo on the front caliper's black panel had worn away..

So I refreshed them in silver and resprayed the panels and added a vinyl AMG logo.. Looking far better and the silver gives the car a clean look in my opinion

Drove out today and had to go on the M1. I usually avoid it but that would have been daft so I girded my loins and braved it.
Im frankly astounded that there aren't more accidents. People on each other's bumpers, aggression in the eyes, and try indicating to pull out to pass a slower vehicle only to have people actually speed up to stop you!
I won't be repeating that experience again!
Id rather go the long way round, as I normally do.

Sadly Stuart its all the same on all the motorways now, when i see my daughter in Ashford, Kent i go the county way there and back again to avoid M20/25 just too many idiot sycotic numpty drivers on them, takes me a bit longer but a much more pleasent drive and more relaxing

A very pleasant top down drive around the new forest today. A bit quieter than the last 3 days at the front of the stage at the Victorious Festival...
