That looks quite deep for a dog lead accident, he couldn't have done much worse with a key or a coin. That looks intentional to me rather than an 'accident'
It was intentional. The same guy did the same to a labourer’s van parked in the same place, when he was doing some work for us.

We know who the perp is.

Were you parked on the footpath? :geek:
Not detracting from the malicious damage, but the recent Highway Code changes have brought out the vigilante brigade who have rights over cars, bikes etc
Rock and a hard place :(
Two wheels on the path, taking up 8-10” or so of it. The same as outside half the houses here.

Point to note, the street we live on is only 4 years old so hardly a well-established dog-walking route.

I actually think he did next door’s car after mine; the video shows him leaning against it and there’s a “grrnk” sound similar to that heard when he did my car.

What have I done to my Merc today? Sold it....

For the first time since 2007 I'm Merc'less having sold my R231 SL late last year and my W211 E320 in the last week. I now have a new Tesla Y (proving to be a fantastic buy) and an 2007 Alfa Spider (proving to look great but be rather fragile!).

I'm sure I'll be back in team Merc at some point in time!

A new 12 month ticket for the E class , we’ll sort of .
Got 6 advisories
One for each wheel well brake pipe that says “brake pipe corroded , covered in grease or other material “ . I very much doubt they are corroded because they are always treated twice a year . I guess I’ll have to clean them for the next MOT ?
2 advisories for both rear lower suspension arms “corroded but not seriously weakened” . Fair enough I’ll clean them up in the summer .

Anybody nearby got CCTV footage that you can present to the local Constabulary ?

I've copied this idea from another forum that I use (A Ford Transit Forum) of all things!

I quite look forward to getting the e-mail notifiers that someone has posted something... De-badged their van, polished it, new wheels maybe... even a new air freshener....

Just a bit of fun really....

So, come on...

Rear Wheel Speed Sensors in hopes of taking ABS, ESP, Pre-Save, and heavy steering away… no luck sadly…

Heard about a lack of petrol in the pumps and decided go go out early to get some this morning. They only had Premium unleaded available on a few pumps so I decided to get some of that. I haven't tried it before but I believe it should be OK.

I did try that but honestly I get a better performance/economy with E10 now that the car has adjusted to it. :) Or maybe it's me that has adjusted to it

Went to check my thermostat temp with the icarsoft after a run , although the dash gauge sits where the picture shows (+80) and doesn’t move the icarsoft showed an initial coolant temp of low 70’s moving up eventually to 85/86 which took an age .
So new thermostat time I believe.
Im lucky my car doesn’t have an electrical connection on the thermostat , so with a bit of cross checking against the MB part number and the fact it’s a Wahler stat I’ve sourced one from Autodoc for £34 .

My mpg went up after fitting the new thermostat and of course the heater started to work better on brrrp mornings. Also, with the duo valve being done whilst the system was drained now allowing all four zones to work properly, it was quite a satisfying repair. (Despite the stress of replacing the duo valve and scalping myself on the bonnet plastics!)

Perfect time to flush the coolant system if the coolant is old, esp with that set up.
My W220 was like night and day when I changed the stat some years ago, it was only getting to 60.
