My parents had one of those, No plate was HCO 102N in red 150bhp with overdrive

My cot went behind the seats!!!!

We has a blue S reg Twin Spark. The Missus still likes them, we down graded it to a tin Top 156 V6 which made both Alfa's some of the best cars we've owned, so good in fact I went out and bought another 156 V6 which I ended up filing in the worse car ever scrap bin!

I pity the buyer, as I’m not really moved to lower the price to any cheeky Chappie offers and now it’s “sorted for sale” it’s actually quite good fun. I still can’t really get in with the top up (my legs don’t bend the right way around the column and peddles) but once in it’s a hoot.

Our one was loved by the Missus, we had it nearly 3 years and when we sold it (actually it was a small fire under the bonnet which ended its life) we bought a W reg 320 SLK.
When ever I say to her there is a Spider for sale locally she always picks up her ears Then asks what year, she will only go newer cars now as she says she doesn't want to go backwards to anything older that what she sells

That brought back some memories, I had exactly the same other than the side stripe was silver a lovely car in Carmine I really liked Mimosa yellow as well. As I recall the 16 valve head was very reliable but mine went through a duplex timing chain every 25k miles unfortunately

We stripped the head on ours as preventative before I got to drive it (my first pair of oily hands!)

I thrashed the pants off it for 2 years or more showing XR3s a clean pair of heels until my younger brother crashed it and left if on its roof one evening (no one was injured)

Phenomenal little car.

Would love to look around your Cole if it's ever down at the garage...
