Never had any wood fibres yet after intensive washing, it as good as when I put it up, its never been treated either. I will pop up pictures in a few days, I built all this raised decking in 1997 and still like new, this is the 2010 wash.

It is all about 9ft off the ground at the rear, it was awful when I bought the house, it just had concrete steps down into a wilderness, I have a sea view now,but on my own I never use it. I used to love building, you can think about sex and Christmas puddings at the same time.

I used to have one of those. Not a bad PW at all for home use.

Very good price, the extra's on the Kärcher are so expensive

The trouble with pressure washers is often their reliability some soldier on for years others are forever troublesome.

Just put your favoured model in a google search with faults broken etc and see what happens to them and how the manufacturer deals with it.

A three year upwards warranty for me.

The same is true with most things though. People generally don't research their chosen product once they own it unless something goes wrong.

The main thing is look at how the Manufacturer deals with faults/complaints. Nilfisk by all accounts are very good. Fortunately I've not had recourse to test it.

When I thought I had a problem with my Kärcher, the lady on the phone got very indigent and upset, she really did care.

Decision made - Gone or the Karcher K4, paid extra for a bottle of shampoo and a wash brush apart from that it comes with all the extras - Amazon £186.35.

Thanks for everyones' input :)

I've had good experience with my Nilfisk, but I have to admit I'm only a light user. Once or twice a week in the summer months is all it gets. Had it for two summers, approaching 3rd and it still works well.

I meant their customer care.

My E140 has been going strong for a while now. Until I moved down south it was getting used a lot as I was detailing 3-4 cars a month (could only do weekends due to work) as well as cleaning my own.

Now that I'm back Oop Norf I will start detailing again so it will get more use again. I'm not expecting any issues though. Knowing my luck it will as it's now out of warranty!

I had Karcher before the Bosch one, they both broke as cheap components and no auto shut off, can't really fault the Bosch one

I think many are ruined by inadequate water supply unable to keep up with the output.

Good point, one thing where I live is no problem at all, the water main pressure is nearly that of some cheap washers.

It is not strictly that, some don't have a cut off so they keep the motor running when there is no water passing through, i.e when you stop for a min, the motor gets hot and burns itself out, I got the Bosch one as it automatically cuts off when you release the trigger
