SLK32 AMG
Having been a member on this great site for 5 years now i must vist at least 5 times a week.

My interests on here tend to go towards the SLK this being what i own.

However there is not always daily posts on the SLK let alone the SLK32 with problems to be solved or help needed so i just wondered what the most reliable modern Mercedes model is.

As there were only 263 SLK32 AMGs imported into the UK (the main user base of this forum) that's not a great surprise... ;)

Some of the big diesels have covered some big miles ,, but these would be older cars.,, hard to judge the newer ones as it takes time to get a more accurate idea of reliability .

I would say my 1995 E320 124 coupe is the most reliable car I have seen on this forum.

It's been my only daily driver for over 10 years, and it's now done 192,000 miles - never let me down.

I never wash it - but do maintain the mechanicals very well.

I am trying to stop using it, so I can get the body tidy.

Even bought a cheap runabout for the winter - but I just cannot stop driving
the Merc.

I think the 124 must win on this topic, there are loads of them floating around

On the basis of my own experience and my own cars I tend to agree with you. My W124 has required the least repairs of the three, other than planned maintenance, and is used the most as well. :D

Since 1982, I have owned 2 W123s and 2 W124s and none have let me down. There is no secret to this reliability, I choose the good ones and then get them serviced as per requirement and drive them with care cos I love them!!!!!!!!!!

All Mercs from the 80s and early 90s. 123,124,126,107,201 etc are all very reliable cars. It's all downhill from there though I'm afraid.
