From experience (as long as its 95 octane) my car runs fine, but fuel economy takes a noticeable hit with E10 - certainly a lot more than the figures suggested by the government website - more like 10-15%.
Take this with the fact that more agricultural land is required to grow stuff just for us to burn, which lets face it is unlikely to come from arable land in developed countries and there's a real possibility of deforestation increasing to meet demand. Even the Canadians turned to illegal logging to provide wood chips for power stations.
