Hi all,
I don’t expect anyone will have an answer but I wanted to share an issue that may affect other MB vehicles of a certain age when used in conjunction with new Google Pixel 9 phones.
I just upgraded from a Google Pixel 6 Pro to a brand new Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 6 (now traded in) worked fine with my Vito W447 infotainment system connected via Bluetooth. However, the new Pixel 9 models do not generate a passkey prompt when pairing and can therefore not be connected via Bluetooth.
Google have been troubleshooting the issue with me for a few days now but none of their suggested fixes and workarounds have worked.
I could return the phone for a refund I guess but I will probably find an interim solution OR upgrade my MB head unit to something aftermarket.
