Hello, I left my car for a few months without driving it, and the battery was flat.I subsequently jump started the car--like i've done several times before when this has occurred, and then left it to run for an hour or so then taken it for another 30 min drive.
This time ,unfortunately, when i tried to restart the car from ignition at a petrol station, the car didn't start- so after jumpstarting it (again!) I took it to Kwik Fit who say the battery is fine .
However, they say that there must consequently be a problem with the alternator.
Anybody out there with a similar experience?/ plus any recommendations on who to use and the cost involved here.
does the alternator get sent away for repair,or do i fit a reconditioned one?
Thank you for your thoughts and advice in advance.
