Hey all,

C219 with airmatic, front left strut just changed due to split and caused red car too low message. Strut changed over but now after a min or two white message saying airmatic visit workshop.

Have scanned and cleared all airmatic faults but code 5507 - “suspension strut is unreasonable”

have unplugged and reconnected both connections to the strut, height sensor works as pump kicks in when raised / lowered by jack.

Does 5507 mean the strut is defective?

Have got a new compressor but is that code related to the pump or not?

Thanks in advance for any ideas :)

Just to add further info

I took the relay out and tapped it a few times, still same issue - have ordered a new one though just to rule it out.

Had another scan and I get the following info
How does it all look?

Voltages - 244, terminal 30 14V
091 - terminal 87 - ON

level sensors
Left 040 B22/8 - 2.49V
Left 041 B22/8 - 2.49V

front right is 2.63V
Rear is 2.53V

vehicle level
042 left = -9mm
045 right = 5mm
048 rear = 4mm

acceleration sensors
030 B24/3 (left) 2509.80mV
031 B24/4 (right) 2490.20mV

AIRmatic pressure
049 B7 = 17.16 bar

Is the left sensor in the tolerance range at 2.49V?

Am going to get the front up again so I can check the wiring connectors.

Hi MAte, Did you managed to fix the issue?
Sorry for the late reply!

I ended up buying a Star system and after doing the guided tests discovered the strut was at fault, it couldn’t lower when requested so had to change the strut and issue went away.
