Hi I have a c220 cdi coupe 2011 which has developed an oil leak. At first was just a tiny drip but this week the drip is now a mini puddle. The leak is presenting itself passenger wheel area. I was hoping to maybe diy but wondered if there was a common issue with leaks and what it could possibly be. At first it had water marks around the oil stain ( presuming rain water?) But now seems thick oil.
Any help appreciated.
Vehicle not smoking, no performance issues, no warnings lights, runs perfect.
Thanks :)

Similar with mine, OM651 engine, 2011 car. Turned out to be the oil cooler. It's situated beneath the oil filter, had to replace the oil filter housing and cooler(it's one assembly).

On some 651s, there is a valve that sits behind the oil filter housing, think its named as the piston shift valve on WIS, its designed to pump extra oil to the front of the engine, they have been known to leak too.

Couldn't really tell as it pooled in the undertray until I moved off.
When the garage removed the undertray it was mostly directly under the oil filter housing. Have you got an undertray on yours?
