When accelerating in my auto the engine hickuped ane the engine diagnosis lamp came on, then the car started to run roughly. I stopped car and the engine was idling very unevenly. Swathed engine off then back on and it was fine, seemed to reset itself though the light stayed on. But if I drive it any distance/speed I feel the engine start to falter again, so I turn it off & it resets again. It's fine over 3000 revs but below that it's rough when this problem kicks in. Any ideas for temp repair as I'm in Durham 300 mile from home & my usual garage? Byrt
