I have a 2007 CLS and I need to replace the indicator strip in the driver's door mirror (RH). I have had a poke around but can't see a way to get the cover off to remove the indicator. Does the back cover come off without having to remove the glass, motor etc?

One has to remove the mirror glass, ambient lamp and the mirror adjustment drive and then remove the cover from the frame before being able to access the indicator strip mounting bolts.

Thanks, I suspected that was the case.
I have done that and replaced the indicator strip successfully, it was very straightforward once I plucked up enough courage to pop the glass off. £30.24 for the new indicator strip from Mercedes Guildford.
