Hiya everyone! Love the forum here.
Recently I got myself a GL320 CDI from 2008 with 235.000KMs on the clock.
Runs great, lots of power, no strange issues.
There is however a strange ticking sound coming from somewhere which makes me ick and I lose my sleep over it.
Here is the video.
You can hear that ticking especially when I go behind the driver's door.
Here is another video of the car running from the engine bay.
I don't have any issues so far. There is no loss of power, no limp, no diesel smell in the cabin, nor diesel smell in the engine bay. There is also no oil leaks on the floor or anything. No Check Engine light, or codes from OBD2.
The noise can be heard when driving especially when accelerating. It could be an injector but I can really say.
I cant really check for black death as the injectors are hidden behind alot of plastic and foamy stuff and I dont trust myself undoing all of that without something breaking.
Is this normal and Im banging my head in for nothing, or there is something that should be checked?
You might say, "Go and get it checked out", however I live in Czech Republic where no mechanic knows that other languages exist, let alone English.
Any help is appreciated!
