Ignition switches off after 2 seconds.

My C200 CDI 2005 switches off immediately after turning the key to the second ignition position. All of the lights in the dash turn off and to turn the engine on you have to turn the key back and turn it to the third position really fast. The key recently had a battery change and it works perfectly, unlocks and locks the car from far away. The battery was changed about 2 years ago, but I don´t think it is in a bad condition.
