R230 centre console latch....

I’m guessing this is a massively common problem... the armrest latch is broken and I have to manually open the lower tray (compartment below the phone tray)....

my question is this.... what’s the easiest remedy? Ie are the latch parts available, or is it a new centre console/armrest lid?

help and advice would be appreciated

I'm sure you have to buy the complete glove compartment console?
I had to replace ours on the first r230 and remembering it was not something sold separately. Took us nearly two years before we found one that matched our interior and it came from Poland in the end. It was around £100.

No, just a little fiddly, easy enough when there are only torque screws to undo
